in my dream there is a door there...

in my dreams of the house I grew up in there is very often a door at the end of the mantle leading to a narrow deck that runs along the side of the house to the rear. the back yard always slants up to the fence, where the apartment building behind us towers.  in my dream there is what was an ally leading from our property to the east, that only I have discovered.

last day of the year.  here's hoping I do better next!

a peek

its one of those days where i miss the dead and the living.  I have beeen laid up with back pain and decided to forgo the pills i had instead just sleeping as much as I could.  my dreams are peopled with mostly people I know, some still in my life, others not.  they occur in the most beautiful buildings.  some are reconfigurations of places i have lived others compleately imaginary.  there are at least three ditinct cities that i visit one was a seventh floor apartment that i had rented somehow next to a notorious bar that in later dreams had been torn down  another a motel that was the scene of a murder.  last night a home with a triple parlor in a beaux art building.  i need to create

everything must go!

lately ive been using the everything must stay, but in a different place, approach to interior decoration.
the art, furniture and objects that were aquired by you for many different reasons and in many ways, and have made it through a full four seasons without getting tossed or given away.  everything else must go

I am trying to get this down, really!  The mechanics are not intuitive, as with most software!

Todays bit  o' wisdom:  If you hang anything on the wall, it becomes "art"
if you hang multiples of the same object, the pattern in which they are hung becomes "art", too.
